Effy Awarded Staterooms FAQs

What type of stateroom is the Effy Awarded Stateroom?

The Effy Awarded Stateroom is a standard interior stateroom and includes the cruise fare for two guests.

Do I have to pay for anything?

As a recipient of an Effy Awarded Stateroom, guests are responsible for the qualifying purchase, a $500 per person processing fee, and any flights, transportation, accommodations, or onboard charges.

Is there a limit to the number of Effy Awarded Staterooms I can qualify for?

Yes — only one Effy Awarded Stateroom may be awarded per onboard stateroom, per voyage.

What if my spouse and I each make a qualifying purchase on this cruise?

If you are sailing together in the same stateroom during the voyage in which you each make a qualifying purchase, you will receive one Effy Awarded Stateroom. The limit is one Effy Awarded Stateroom per stateroom, per voyage.

Can I transfer my Effy Awarded Stateroom to someone else?

The qualifying guest is “Non-Transferable”; however, you may invite any guest of your choice as the second guest in your Effy Awarded Stateroom.

Can the Effy Awarded Stateroom be transferred to a future date?

The Effy Awarded Stateroom is only valid for the voyage sailing on February 16, 2026, onboard Celebrity Reflection.

How many people can sail in the Effy Awarded Stateroom?

The Effy Awarded Stateroom includes two cruise fares.

Are there ADA-accessible Effy Awarded Staterooms available?

How do I claim my Effy Awarded Stateroom before they run out?

After your qualifying purchase is made, you will receive an email that includes a link to claim your Effy Awarded Stateroom.

What happens if you run out of Effy Awarded Staterooms?

This offer is subject to availability. The promotion will discontinue once all Effy Awarded Staterooms are occupied.

What if I do not receive an e-mail?

Will I be charged anything when I complete my registration?

There is a $500 per person processing fee due when you claim your Effy Awarded Stateroom. Once this fee has been collected, your registration is complete and your voyage is secured.

Is there a minimum age to sail on the Escape with Effy Charter aboard Celebrity?

The Escape with Effy charter cruise is open to primary guests aged 21 and older and secondary guests aged 18 and older. Secondary guests aged 18–20 must be accompanied by a primary guest aged 21 or older in the same stateroom.


Cancellation Policy

What is Escape with Effy’s cancellation policy?

To avoid additional fees and receive a full refund of any processing fees paid, Escape with Effy Charters requires written notice of cancellation at least ninety (90) days prior to the scheduled voyage sail date.

Cancellations made less than ninety (90) days prior to the sail date are non-refundable, including any processing fees paid.

If a guest fails to notify Escape with Effy Charters of their cancellation and does not attend the voyage, the guest will be charged the full voyage fare.


General FAQs

What is the sailing itinerary?

What hotel is recommended for the night before the cruise?

Escape with Effy does not have a preferred or recommended hotel. Guests are strongly encouraged to arrive at least one day prior to departure to allow for potential travel delays.

If arriving on the day of embarkation, guests should plan to arrive at the port at least 1.5 hours prior to the scheduled sail time.

Does Escape with Effy offer local transportation to the pier?

No. Escape with Effy does not provide local transportation. Rideshare services and taxis are readily available.

Is long-term parking available at the pier?

Yes. On-site parking is available at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale. Availability and rates are subject to change; please refer to the Port Everglades website for the most up-to-date information.

Is there an online option for check-in?

Yes. Guests may complete check-in online or via the Celebrity Cruises Mobile App. Online check-in opens approximately 45 days prior to sailing.

What time do we embark in Fort Lauderdale?

Embarkation timing will be confirmed closer to sailing and communicated to guests once finalized.

How does luggage check-in work?

Large luggage and suitcases should be left with port staff upon arrival and will be delivered to your stateroom by your room steward. If any items are not delivered by the evening, please contact Guest Services onboard.

What time do we disembark upon returning to Fort Lauderdale?

Disembarkation typically begins around 7:00 AM. Guests are generally asked to vacate their staterooms by 8:00–8:30 AM, with final disembarkation completed by approximately 9:00–9:30 AM.


Paperless Documents and Online Check-in

Is there an easy, online option for check-in?

Mobile App: *Recommended option*

  • Step 1 – Download the Celebrity Cruises Mobile App for iOS or Android in the App Store or Google Play Store.
  • Step 2 – Log in or create an account. If you do not see your reservation, link your reservation to your guest account by tapping on "Don’t see your cruise? Let’s add it now".
  • Step 3 - Tap on Check In.
  • Step 4 – Review Protocols: Review the health and safety protocols and requirements then tap Continue to Check-in.
  • Step 5 – On the landing page, slide the screen up to select the guest to check-in and tap the first section, Travel Info.
  • Step 6 – Enter the Travel Documentation that you are using for the cruise. There is an option to scan your passport to autofill this information.
  • Step 7 – Take your Security Photo – there is biometrics consent they will need to agree to in order for us to use the image. The photo is generally used for boarding purposes and photography purposes. If you do not authorize use of the image, then we will need to take a new one at the pier.
  • Step 8 – Fill out the information for Country of residence, Captain’s Club if applicable, and Home Address.
  • Step 9 – Enter Emergency contact – this is someone who is not on the sailing.
  • Step 10 – Onboard Expense account – this is where you will add your credit card for onboard charges.
  • Step 11 – Legal Section – this is where you will check the box after reading the Cruise Ticket Contract, advising that you accept, acknowledge, read, and understand the Cruise Ticket Contract.
  • Step 12 – Hit Continue.
  • Step 13 – Landing Page – You will now select the arrival time box and choose an arrival time. This is the time you need to arrive at the cruise terminal.
  • Step 14 – 24 hours prior to sailing, you will need to come back here and fill out the Health Status section of the Landing page.
  • Step 15 – On the landing page, you will see the Xpress Pass. Present this at the pier and we will scan your bar code. If the guest has an iOS device, they can add this to their Apple Wallet.

Online – Laptop or Computer

  • Step 1: Visit www.celebritycruises.com.
  • Step 2 – in the top righthand corner, sign in or create an account.
  • Step 3 – In your account, you should see that there is one upcoming cruise. If you do not see this, then click link a cruise and add your cruise.
  • Step 4 – On the right side, you will see a blue Start Check-In.
  • Step 5 – Select the guests who are checking in. There will be a message stating that the app download is required.
  • Step 6 – Enter the Travel Documentation that you are using for the cruise.
  • Step 7 – ake your Security Photo – there is biometrics consent they will need to agree to in order for us to use the image. The photo is generally used for boarding purposes and photography purposes. If you do not authorize use of the image, then we will need to take a new one at the pier.
  • Step 8 – Fill out the information for Country of residence, Captain’s Club if applicable, and Home Address.

  • Step 12 – Arrival Time – You will now select the arrival time box and choose an arrival time. This is the time you need to arrive at the cruise terminal.
  • Step 13 – Click Complete Check-in.
  • Step 14 – 24 hours prior to sailing, you will need to access the app to complete the Health Status section of Check-in.
  • Step 15 – It will show completed check in, and a blue “View Xpress Pass” – you will click this and then print the Xpress Pass.

How do I know if I have accepted the Terms and Conditions? If I have not yet accepted, how can I do so?

By completing check-in through the Celebrity Cruises Mobile App, you acknowledge and accept the Terms and Conditions.

To review or confirm your acceptance, please follow these steps:

  1. Access your booking: Log in and select your upcoming cruise.
  2. Navigate to the Terms and Conditions: Look for a prompt or notification related to the Terms and Conditions. This may appear during check-in or within the My Cruise or Settings section.
  3. Review the Terms and Conditions: Carefully read the Cruise Ticket Contract or on-screen message.
  4. Accept the Terms: Select the checkbox or button labeled “I Agree” or “Accept.”
  5. Confirm your acceptance: Tap Submit or Continue to finalize.

Identification

What type of identification will I need to board the ship?

Guests are responsible for ensuring they have valid government-issued identification that meets all passport and visa requirements for this itinerary.

For United States Citizens: A valid passport book is required for all travel outside of the United States. Passports must not expire within six months after your date of travel to be considered valid. For further information and passport requirements, please visit www.state.gov.

Passport cards are not accepted for this charter.

  • For Non-United States Citizens: You must have a valid passport and any necessary visas for travel. Please carefully verify the existing identification requirements for your travel situation with your local consulate. In addition, non-U.S. citizens who have previously been admitted to the United States for permanent residence must carry their Permanent Residence Card (Form I-551), commonly known as a Green Card. Resident alien not in possession of this must obtain one at the nearest office of the United States Immigration Service.
  • Visas: Visa requirements vary depending on the passport under which you are traveling, and the countries being visited. Guests traveling under non-U.S., non-Canadian and non-European passports must check with the Consulate of every country visited during the cruise for specific visa requirements. When contacting the Consulate for the country being visited, be sure to provide the complete itinerary of the cruise so the Consulate can provide the correct information on your visa requirements. Guests may also contact a visa service agency in their country for assistance.

Shore Excursions

Can I book shore excursions like I would on other cruises?

Yes! The Escape with Effy team will provide you with a booking number for use with the cruise line approximately 4-6 weeks after your booking is confirmed. That number will allow you to complete your online check-in, as well as book other options, such as restaurant reservations, spa appointments, internet packages and more.

In addition, you will be able to book these activities through the Celebrity Cruises Mobile App that can be downloaded directly to your smartphone.

Dress Code

What is the dress code in the dining room, around the pool, in the ship’s restaurants, etc.?

Escape with Effy follows Celebrity Cruises’ policies regarding these items. Please refer to their website for details. For onboard theme nights, Escape with Effy will communicate more detailed information closer to the cruise so you can prepare accordingly.

Do I have to dress according to the daily themes?

Dressing up is OPTIONAL. We want everyone to have a great time in what they are most comfortable in, and dressing in theme clothing is completely entirely up to you. We will also have accessories on hand for each night so you can participate even if you don’t wish to dress up.


Cabins / Upgrades / Cabin Amenities

Are the stateroom amenities and services on an Escape with Effy Charter Cruise the same as those advertised on Celebrity Cruises’ website?

Standard stateroom amenities are included as part of the Escape with Effy Charter Cruise. These amenities and services are subject to change. Is there a stateroom that can accommodate 4 people?

What if I am traveling by myself? Are there single staterooms?

Guests traveling by themselves are certainly welcome!

Can I get an upgrade?

Are children allowed to join the charter cruise?

Anyone over the age of 18 can join the charter, however anyone 18 – 20 years old must be accompanied by someone 21 years or older in their stateroom.

Can I change my traveling companion?

We are currently working on this, please contact us at reservations@escapewitheffy.com or 1-866-211-5573 and we will see if we are able to accommodate changes. Please note, change requests won’t be accepted within 2 weeks of sailing.


Onboard Purchases

Is internet service available and how much does it cost?

Celebrity Cruises has various internet packages, and you can buy one directly from them once you have your cruise line booking number, which we will send to you about 4-6 weeks after your booking is confirmed. Internet packages can also be purchased onboard. Please refer to Celebrity Cruises’ website for details.


Stateroom Changes, Amenities & Upgrades

Are the stateroom amenities and services on an Escape with Effy Charter Cruise the same as those advertised on Celebrity Cruises’ website?

What does the price of the Escape with Effy Charter include?

All onboard events produced by Escape with Effy are included. In addition, the standard items associated with a Celebrity Cruises cruise are also included.

The price does not include pre- or post-cruise accommodations, airfare, ground transportation, onboard purchases (including spa services, specialty restaurants, carbonated and bottled beverages, alcoholic beverages, gift shop items, etc.), gambling, excursions, or travel protection.


Loyalty Program

Can I use my Captain’s Club earned perks? Can I gain points for this sailing?

Yes, you can earn points for sailing on the Escape with Effy Charter Cruise. As this is a full-ship charter, earned perks cannot be redeemed through your cruise line membership.

If you have questions regarding a specific perk or amenity, you are welcome to contact Celebrity Cruises directly. If you speak with the cruise line, please ensure they understand that you are inquiring about redeeming perks on a full-ship charter.


Food & Beverage

Can we bring alcohol, soda, and water onboard? If so, how much of each?

Escape with Effy abides by Celebrity Cruises guidelines.

Non-Alcoholic Beverages

  • Guests are permitted to bring onboard (Embarkation Day only) non-alcoholic beverages, including products also offered onboard (such as Coke products).
  • Quantities are limited to what each guest can reasonably hand-carry.

Wine or Champagne

  • Guests of legal drinking age may bring one (1) 750 mL bottle of wine or champagne per adult, per sailing.
  • Bottles must be brought in carry-on luggage, not checked luggage. We recommend each guest carry their bottle individually for security purposes.
  • Guests consuming personal bottles of wine or champagne in public areas will incur a $35 corkage fee plus a 20% gratuity per bottle.
    Corkage fees do not apply to guests with the Classic Drink Package or Premium Drink Package.
  • Luggage containing wine will not be delivered to the stateroom. Guests must retrieve these items from security once the ship has set sail.
  • Only staterooms with at least one guest of legal drinking age are eligible to bring wine or champagne onboard. This policy also applies to non-alcoholic wines.
  • Bottles will be inspected by pier staff. Bottles that appear tampered with will not be permitted onboard.
  • Guests may request a corkscrew for use in their stateroom.
  • Additional bottles of wine or alcoholic beverages purchased in ports of call or onboard shops will be stored by the ship and delivered to the stateroom on the last day of the sailing.
  • Back-to-back and consecutive cruise guests may bring an additional bottle per sailing. Each additional bottle will be stored and delivered to the stateroom on the first day of each sailing segment. Guests must present documentation of subsequent sailings at boarding.
  • Pier staff will inspect the bottles and if they appear to have been tampered with, they will not be allowed to be brought onboard. Guests may request a corkscrew to use for opening bottles in their stateroom.
  • Additional bottles of wine that are brought onboard, or any alcoholic beverages purchased in ports of call or from onboard shops during the cruise vacation, will be stored onboard and delivered to guest staterooms on the last day of the sailing.
  • Consecutive Cruise and Back-to-Back guests may bring an additional bottle per sailing; each additional bottle will be stored by the ship and delivered to their stateroom the first day of each leg of their sailing. Guests who are sailing back-to-back and are bringing additional bottles will need to have documentation of their subsequent sailings to display to security on boarding day.

Are there assigned dining times?

Yes. Main dining times will be assigned approximately 30 days prior to the cruise. If youwish to request a specific dining time, please contact our team at reservations@escapewitheffy.com. Dining times may also be adjusted onboard, subject to availability.

Buffet dining is available at your leisure.

Specialty dining is based on reservations and may be booked through the Celebrity Cruises Mobile App.


Celebrity Cruises Specific

Where can we smoke on the ship? Can I smoke on my veranda?

For the comfort and enjoyment of all guests, ships are designated as non-smoking. This includes a prohibition on the use of hookah or other types of water pipes.

Smoking is not permitted inside any stateroom or on any stateroom balcony. This applies to all stateroom categories onboard. If a guest is found in violation of this “No Smoking” policy, a cleaning fee will be applied to their onboard account.

Smoking is also not permitted in any dining venue, theater, bar, lounge, hallway, elevator, jogging track, or most indoor areas. In addition, smoking is not allowed in certain outdoor areas, including restricted areas, food venues, kids’ play areas, and pools.

However, we recognize that some guests do smoke. To accommodate smokers while maintaining a comfortable environment for all guests, designated smoking areas are available onboard. Signage is clearly posted throughout the ship identifying approved smoking areas, and ashtrays are provided. Guests may also inquire at Guest Services for the locations of designated smoking areas.

In casinos on itineraries where smoking is permitted, visible signage will indicate designated smoking and non-smoking areas.

Cigar and pipe tobacco smoking is limited to designated outdoor areas and cigar bars (if available onboard). Electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) are only permitted within designated smoking areas.

Cigarettes, cigars, and pipe tobacco must be properly disposed of and must never be thrown overboard.

Guests must be at least 18 years of age to purchase, possess, or use tobacco onboard.


Entertainment

Do I have to book or reserve a seat for the shows?

No. All entertainment is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Theater doors open 15 minutes prior to each event.
