What type of stateroom is included with the Effy Awarded Stateroom?

The Effy Awarded Stateroom is a standard interior stateroom, that includes the cruise fare for two guests.

Do I have to pay for anything?

As a recipient of an Effy Awarded Stateroom, you are responsible for the qualifying purchase, a $400 per person processing fee, as well as flights, transportation, accommodations, and any onboard charges.

Is there a limit to how many Effy Awarded Staterooms I can qualify for?

Yes, only one Effy Awarded Stateroom can be awarded per booking.

Can the Effy Awarded Stateroom be transferred to a future sailing?

No, the Effy Awarded Stateroom is only valid for the specific Holland America Eurodam Charter sailing from Seattle, September 6-13, 2025.

How do I claim my Effy Awarded Stateroom?

Once your qualifying purchase is made, you will receive an email with a portal link to claim your Effy Awarded Stateroom. Ensure you complete this process promptly to secure your booking.

What if I do not receive an email to claim my stateroom?

Please contact the Escape with Effy Customer Service Team at reservations@escapewitheffy.com for assistance.

Will I be charged anything when I register?

A $400 per person processing fee is required during registration. Once this fee is paid, your registration is complete, and your voyage is secured.

What happens if I change my mind after registering?

To receive a full refund of any processing fees, cancellations must be made at least 90 days prior to the sail date. Cancellations made less than 90 days before the voyage will not be refunded.


Onboard Travel Details

Can I book shore excursions?

Yes! Approximately four weeks after your booking is confirmed, you will receive a booking number to use with the Holland America Line’s Navigator App for online check-in, excursions, and other bookings.

Is internet service available onboard?

Yes, Holland America Line offers various internet packages. These can be purchased once your booking number is provided or onboard the ship. Visit the Holland America Line website for more details.

Are children allowed to join the charter?

Guests aged 18 and older are welcome. However, anyone between 18 and 20 years old must be accompanied by someone 21 or older in their stateroom.

What hotel is recommended for the night before the cruise?

Escape with Effy does not recommend specific hotels. Guests are advised to arrive at least one day before departure to avoid travel delays. If arriving on embarkation day, ensure you are at the port at least one hour before departure.

Can we bring alcohol or beverages onboard?

Holland America Line’s policies apply. Please refer to their website for specifics on alcohol and beverage allowances.

What is the dress code?

Holland America Line policies apply:

  • Daytime: Casual, resort-style attire
  • Evening: Smart casual, with formal attire recommended for Gala Nights
    Detailed information about themed nights will be communicated before the cruise.

Pricing

What is included in the price of the Escape with Effy Charter Cruise?

The price includes:

  • All onboard events produced by Escape with Effy
  • Meals and 24-hour room service (excluding specialty dining)
  • Non-carbonated beverages (e.g., coffee, tea, juices)
  • Access to pools and fitness center
    The price does not include airfare, ground transportation, onboard purchases, excursions, or travel protection.

Can I use my Mariner’s Society benefits or earn points for this sailing?

Guests can earn points for sailing but cannot redeem Mariner’s Society perks on this charter voyage.


Identification

What identification is required to board the ship?

  • U.S. Citizens: A valid passport book is required. Passports must not expire within six months after the voyage.
  • Non-U.S. Citizens: A valid passport and any required visas are necessary. Permanent residents of the U.S. must carry their Green Card. Check with your local consulate for specific requirements.
