What type of category of stateroom is the Effy Awarded Stateroom?

The Effy Awarded Stateroom is a standard Interior stateroom, that includes the cruise fare for 2 guests.

Do I have to pay for anything?

As a recipient of an Effy Awarded Stateroom, you are responsible for the qualifying purchase, a processing fee ($400 per person), as well as any flights, transportation, accommodations, and onboard charges.

Is there a limit to how many Effy Awarded Staterooms I can qualify for?

Yes – only 1 Effy Awarded Stateroom can be awarded per onboard stateroom, per voyage.

What if my spouse and I each make a qualifying purchase on this cruise?

If you are sailing together in the same stateroom during the voyage when you each make a qualifying purchase, you will only receive 1 Effy Awarded Stateroom; the limit is 1 Effy Awarded Stateroom, per stateroom, per voyage.

Can I transfer my Effy Awarded Stateroom to someone else?

No, but you can bring whomever you wish as the second person in your Effy Awarded Stateroom.

Can the Effy Awarded Stateroom be transferred to a future date?

No, the Effy Awarded Stateroom is only valid on the Carnival Liberty voyage sailing on April 26 th , 2026.

How many people can sail in the Effy Awarded Stateroom?

The Effy Awarded Stateroom includes 2 cruise fares.

Are there ADA-accessible Staterooms available as an Effy Awarded Stateroom?

The Effy Awarded Staterooms are only available through qualifying purchases made on a Carnival Cruise Line vessel.

How many Effy Awarded Staterooms are there?

This changes daily based on real time purchases and activated claims of Effy Awarded Staterooms.

How do I claim my Effy Awarded Stateroom before they run out?

Once your qualifying purchase is made, you will receive an e-mail that includes a portal to claim your Effy Awarded Stateroom.

What if I do not receive an e-mail?

Will I be charged anything when I complete my registration?

There is a $400 per person processing fee that is due when you claim your Effy Awarded Stateroom. Once this fee has been collected your registration is complete and your voyage is secured.

What if I have questions during the registration process?

What if I register for my Effy Awarded Stateroom but change my mind?

To avoid any additional fees and receive a full refund of any processing fees Escape with Effy Charters require a 90-day notice of cancellation. No refunds are available for cancellations made less than 90 days prior to the voyage sail date. If the client fails to notify Escape with Effy Charters and does not attend the voyage, the client will be charged the full voyage fare.

What happens if you run out of Effy Awarded Staterooms?

When we run out of Effy Awarded Staterooms, the promotion is discontinued, this offer is based on availability.

Is there a minimum age to sail on the Carnival, Escape with Effy Charter?

The Escape with Effy charter cruise on Carnival is open to primary guests 21+ and secondary guests a minimum of 6 months of age.


Onboard Travel Details

Can I book shore excursions like I would on other cruises?

Yes! You will receive a booking number approximately four weeks after your stateroom is confirmed, which can be used to begin online bookings with the cruise line. To set up your online account, please visit Carnival’s Website, here.

Is internet service available, and how much does it cost?

Yes! Internet packages are available, same as on any other Carnival cruise. You may view these packages after you have received your booking # and created your online account with Carnival. Please visit their website, here.

What hotel is recommended for the night before the cruise?

Escape with Effy does not have a preferred or recommended hotel. Guests are encouraged to arrive a day before the cruise departs to avoid potential weather-related delays. If arriving on the day of embarkation, it is strongly recommended to be at the ship at least one hour before the scheduled departure time.

Does Escape with Effy offer any local transportation to the pier?

Can we bring alcohol, soda, and water onboard? And, if so, how much of each?

What does the price of the Escape with Effy Charter Cruise include?

The price includes all onboard events produced by Escape with Effy, as well as the standard amenities and services associated with a Carnival Cruise Line voyage. However, it does not cover airfare, ground transportation, pre- or post-cruise hotel accommodations, onboard purchases, or travel protection.

Are the Stateroom amenities and services on the Escape with Effy Charter Cruise the same as those advertised on Carnival Cruise Line’s website?

Identification

What type of identification will I need to board the ship?

  • For United States Citizens: A valid passport book is required for all travel outside of the United States. Passports must not expire within six months after your travel date to be considered valid. For additional information, visit www.state.gov.

    Note: Passport cards are not accepted for this charter.
  • For Non-United States Citizens: You must have a valid passport and any required visas for travel. Check the identification requirements for your specific situation with your local consulate.
    • Non-U.S. citizens who have been admitted to the United States as permanent residents must carry their Permanent Residence Card (Form I-551), commonly known as a Green Card.
    • If you do not possess a Green Card, obtain one from the nearest United States Immigration Service office.
  • Visa Requirements: Visa requirements depend on the passport under which you are traveling, and the countries being visited.

Currently, Escape with Effy does not offer travel protection/insurance.


Accesibility

I have a walking disability or other special needs. What should I do?

Guests with mobility needs, severe allergies, respiratory needs, or other accessibility requirements should reach out to our Escape with Effy team, at least 60 days prior to the sailing, by emailing reservations@escapewitheffy.com

I require a handicap-accessible room. Are any available?

Yes, our vessels have specially designed staterooms for guests requiring mobility assistance.

  • Standard Stateroom Limitations:
    • Entry doors and bathroom doors measure approximately 23 inches wide.
    • Bathrooms have doorsills, and bathtubs may be challenging for those with limited mobility.
    • Passageways within the stateroom may be too narrow for a wheelchair or scooter.
  • Accessible Stateroom Features:
    • Wider entry doors (minimum of 32 inches).
    • Accessible showers with grab bars, benches/seats, hand-held showerheads, and lowered closet and towel rods.

Note: Mobility devices must be stored and charged within the guest’s Stateroom for safety reasons.

What if I am traveling by myself? Are there single staterooms?

Guests traveling alone are certainly welcome!

Can I get an upgrade?

Yes, upgrades may be available depending on availability. Please contact us at reservations@escapewitheffy.com or call 1-866-211-5573 to inquire.

Where can we smoke on the ship? Can I smoke on my verandah?

Cigarette smoking (including electronic cigarettes and personal vaporizers) are permitted in the following areas:

  • Czar’s Palace Casino: There is no smoking in the casino unless seated and playing; it is not allowed at the casino bar or in the entire area when closed.
  • Outdoors: Smoking is permitted in designated areas on Deck 3 (starboard side) and Deck 10 (starboard side).
  • Note: Cigar and tobacco pipes are only permitted at the above outdoor smoking areas.
  • Note: On embarkation and debarkation day, smoking is not allowed outdoors while the ship is refueling. Please consider selecting a later Arrival Appointment to minimize any inconvenience on embarkation day.
