What type of stateroom is the Effy Awarded Stateroom?

The Effy Awarded Stateroom is a standard interior stateroom and includes the cruise fare for two guests.

Do I have to pay for anything?

As a recipient of an Effy Awarded Stateroom, you are responsible for the qualifying purchase, a processing fee ($500 per person), and any flights, transportation, accommodations, or onboard charges. 

Is there a limit to the number of Effy Awarded Staterooms I can qualify for?

Yes – only one Effy Awarded Stateroom can be awarded per onboard stateroom, per voyage. 

What if my spouse and I each make a qualifying purchase on this cruise?

If you are sailing together in the same stateroom during the voyage in which you each make a qualifying purchase, you will receive one Effy Awarded Stateroom. The limit is one Effy Awarded Stateroom per stateroom, per voyage.

Can I transfer my Effy Awarded Stateroom to someone else?

The qualifying guest is “Non-Transferable”; however, we invite you to bring whomever you wish as the second guest in your Effy Awarded Stateroom.

Can the Effy Awarded Stateroom be transferred to a future date?

The Effy Awarded Stateroom is only valid for the voyage sailing on December 4th, 2026, onboard Norwegian Joy. 

How many people can sail in the Effy Awarded Stateroom?

The Effy Awarded Stateroom includes two cruise fares. 

Are there ADA-accessible staterooms available as an Effy Awarded Stateroom?

Yes! We are committed to providing safe, easy, and accessible accommodations for all persons with disabilities, to the extent that is feasible. As ADA staterooms are limited in quantity, please contact our team at 1-866-211-5573 for assistance.

Are there other places I can buy Effy Jewelry and take advantage of this offer?

The Effy Awarded Staterooms are only available through qualifying purchases made on Norwegian Cruise Line.

How do I claim my Effy Awarded Stateroom before they run out?

After your qualifying purchase is made, you will receive an email that includes a link to claim your Effy Awarded Stateroom.

What if I do not receive an e-mail?

Our Escape with Effy Customer Service Team can assist you. Please e-mail reservations@escapewitheffy.com.

Will I be charged anything when I complete my registration?

There is a $500.00 per person processing fee that is due when you claim your Effy Awarded Stateroom. Once this fee has been collected, your registration is complete, and your voyage is secured.

What if I have questions during the registration process?

Our Escape with Effy Reservations Team can assist you. Call 1-866-211-5573.

What if I register for my Effy Awarded Stateroom but change my mind?

To avoid any additional fees and receive a full refund of any processing fees, Escape with Effy Charters requires a 90-day notice of cancellation. No refunds are available for cancellations made less than 90 days prior to the voyage sail date. If the client fails to notify Escape with Effy Charters and does not attend the voyage, the client will be charged the full voyage fare.

What happens if you run out of Effy Awarded Staterooms?

This offer is subject to availability. The promotion will discontinue once all staterooms are occupied.

Is there a minimum age to sail on the Escape with Effy Charter aboard Norwegian Cruise Line?

The Escape with Effy charter cruise is open to primary guests 21+ and secondary guests over the age of 18.


Cancellation Policy

What is Escape with Effy’s cancellation policy?

To avoid additional fees and receive a full refund of any processing fees paid, Escape with Effy Charters requires written notice of cancellation at least ninety (90) days before the scheduled voyage sail date.

Cancellations made less than ninety (90) days prior to the sail date are non-refundable, including any processing fees paid.

If a guest fails to notify Escape with Effy Charters of their cancellation and does not attend the voyage, the guest will be charged the full voyage fare.


General FAQs

What is the sailing itinerary?

What hotel is recommended for the night before the cruise?

Escape with Effy does not have a preferred or recommended hotel. Guests are strongly encouraged to arrive at least one day prior to departure to allow for potential travel delays.

If arriving on the day of embarkation, guests should plan to arrive at the port at least 1.5 hours prior to the scheduled sail time.

Does Escape with Effy offer local transportation to the pier?

No. Escape with Effy does not provide local transportation. Ride-share services and taxis are readily available.

Is long-term parking available at the pier?

Yes. On-site parking is available at the Port of Miami. Availability and rates are subject to change; please refer to the Port of Miami website for the most up-to-date information.

Is there an Online option for check-in?

Yes. Guests may complete check-in online or via the Norwegian Mobile App. Online check-in opens approximately 5 days prior to sailing.

What time do we embark in Miami?

Embarkation timing will be confirmed closer to sailing and communicated to guests once finalized.

How does luggage check-in work?

Large luggage and suitcases should be left with the port staff upon arrival and will be delivered to your stateroom by your room steward. If any items are not delivered by the evening, please contact Guest Services onboard.

What time do we disembark upon returning to Miami?

Disembarkation typically begins around 7:00 AM. Guests are generally asked to vacate their staterooms by 8:00–8:30 AM, with final disembarkation completed by approximately 9:00–9:30 AM.

What about Documentation, visas, and Passports?

All guests must provide key personal information prior to boarding the cruise ship. Travel to some destinations requires passports and/or special visas and travel authorizations.

Identification requirements for domestic airline travel will change for US Citizens in 2018. Please read this important information on our Required Travel Documentation page.


Accessibility & ADA Questions

Can I request special accommodations in the Hotel Program (i.e., ADA rooms, non-feather pillows)?

ADA requests may be submitted up to 61 days prior to sailing, are subject to availability, and are not guaranteed. Other special requests, such as pillow type or adjacent rooms, can be requested directly through the hotel upon hotel assignment.

Guests with mobility needs, severe allergies, respiratory needs, or other accessibility requirements are asked to contact reservations@escapewitheffy.com at least 60 days prior to sailing.

Cabins / Upgrades / Cabin Amenities

Are the stateroom amenities and services on an Escape with Effy Charter Cruise the same as those advertised on Norwegian Cruise Lines' website?

Standard stateroom amenities are included as part of the Escape with Effy Charter Cruise. These amenities and services are subject to change. If you have questions regarding the amenities and services included with a particular stateroom category, please contact the office before booking your stateroom for confirmation at reservations@escapewitheffy.com or 1-866-211-5573.

Is there a stateroom that can accommodate 4 people?

What if I am traveling by myself? Are there single staterooms?

Guests traveling by themselves are certainly welcome!

Can I get an upgrade?

At this time, upgrades are not available. If you have any questions, please contact us at reservations@escapewitheffy.com or 1-866-211-5573.

Are children allowed to join the charter cruise?

Anyone over the age of 18 can join the charter; anyone 18 – 20 years old must be accompanied by someone 21 years or older in their stateroom.

Can I change my traveling companion?

We are currently working on this. Please contact us at reservations@escapewitheffy.com or 1-866-211-5573 and we will see if we are able to accommodate changes. Please note that change requests won’t be accepted within 2 weeks of sailing.


Dress Code

What is the dress code in the dining room, around the pool, and in the ship’s restaurants?

Escape with Effy follows Norwegian Cruise Line’s policies regarding dress code. Please refer to their website for full details. For onboard theme nights, Escape with Effy will share more detailed information closer to the cruise so you can prepare accordingly.

What are the themes this year?

Theme details will be shared closer to sailing through our social media channels and email communications.

What time do theme nights start each day?

Theme nights typically start at 4:00 PM, with the exception of the Sail Away Party.

Do I have to dress according to daily themes?

Dressing up is OPTIONAL. We want everyone to have a great time in what they feel most comfortable wearing, and participation in themed attire is entirely up to you. We will also have accessories available each night so you can participate even if you choose not to dress up.


Onboard Purchases

Is Internet service available, and how much does it cost?

Norwegian Cruise Lines has various Internet packages, and you can buy one directly from them once you have your cruise line booking number, which we will send to you about 4-6 weeks after your booking is confirmed. Internet packages can also be purchased onboard and through the app. Please refer to the Norwegian Cruise Line website for more details.

Are beverage packages available for purchase?

Yes. Please refer to the Norwegian Cruise Line Mobile App or log in to your account on the Norwegian Cruise Line's website for additional details.

What does the price of the Escape with Effy Charter include?

All onboard events produced by Escape with Effy are included. In addition, the standard items associated with a Norwegian Cruise Line are also included.

The price does not include pre- or post-cruise accommodations, airfare, ground transportation, onboard purchases (including spa services, specialty restaurants, carbonated and bottled beverages, alcoholic beverages, gift shop items, etc.), gambling, excursions, or travel protection.


Loyalty Program

Can I use my Latitudes-earned perks? Can I gain points for this sailing?

Yes, you can earn points for sailing on the Escape with Effy Charter Cruise. As this is a full-ship charter, earned perks cannot be redeemed through your cruise line membership. If you have questions regarding a specific perk or amenity, you are welcome to contact Norwegian Cruise Line directly. If you speak with the cruise line, please ensure they understand that you are inquiring about redeeming perks on a full-ship charter.


Food & Beverage

Can we bring alcohol, soda, and water onboard? If so, how much of each?

Escape with Effy abides by Norwegian Cruise Line’s guidelines.


Indoor Areas

Cigar Lounge

Cigar smoking is permitted in the designated cigar lounge. Cigarettes, pipes, electronic cigarettes, and vapor smoking devices are not permitted in the cigar lounge. Cigar and pipe smoking on board Norwegian Sky, Norwegian Sun, Norwegian Star, and Pride of America is permitted only in designated outdoor areas, as there is no cigar lounge onboard.

Casino

Norwegian Bliss, Norwegian Joy, and Norwegian Encore have a designated smoking room within the Casino. On all other ships, active Casino players may smoke cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, and vapor smoking devices in the Casino during gaming hours.

Cigar and pipe smoking is not permitted in the Casino.

Staterooms

Guests are not permitted to smoke cigarettes, cigars, pipes, electronic cigarettes, or vapor devices in their staterooms or on their balconies.

Smoking inside your stateroom or on your balcony will result in a $250 USD cleaning charge added to your onboard account. If cigarette burns on furniture, linens, towels, or carpeting are detected, guests will be advised and charged for the damage. Guests in the Garden Villas may smoke in their private garden and on their private sun decks.


Entertainment

Do I have to book or reserve a seat for the shows?

No. All entertainment is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Theater doors open 15 minutes prior to each event.
