The Effy Awarded Stateroom is a standard Interior stateroom that includes the cruise fare for two guests aboard Zuiderdam.

Do I have to pay for anything?

As a recipient of an Effy Awarded Stateroom, you are responsible for:

• The qualifying purchase
• A $500 per person processing fee (all cabins come as double occupancy)
• Government taxes and port fees
• Airfare and transportation
• Pre- or post-cruise accommodations
• Onboard purchases and personal expenses

Is there a limit to how many Effy Awarded Staterooms I can qualify for?

Yes. Only one Effy Awarded Stateroom may be awarded per onboard stateroom, per voyage.

What if my spouse and I each make a qualifying purchase?

If you are sailing together in the same stateroom during the voyage and both make qualifying purchases, only one Effy Awarded Stateroom will be issued. The limit is one Effy Awarded Stateroom per stateroom per voyage.

Can I transfer my Effy Awarded Stateroom to someone else?

The qualifying guest is non-transferable. However, you may bring whomever you wish as the second guest in your Effy Awarded Stateroom.

Can the Effy Awarded Stateroom be transferred to a future sailing?

No. The Effy Awarded Stateroom is valid only for the Holland America Line Zuiderdam voyage sailing August 29, 2026.

How many guests can sail in the Effy Awarded Stateroom?

The Effy Awarded Stateroom includes two cruise fares.

Are ADA-accessible staterooms available?

Yes. Accessible staterooms are available in limited quantities. Guests requiring mobility accommodations should contact our Escape with Effy team as early as possible at 1-866-211-5573 or reservations@escapewitheffy.com.

How do I claim my Effy Awarded Stateroom?

After making your qualifying purchase, you will receive an email with a secure portal link to complete your registration and claim your stateroom.

What happens if Effy Awarded Staterooms sell out?

This promotion is based on availability. Once the allocated staterooms are claimed, the offer is discontinued.

Is there a minimum age requirement?

Primary guests must be 21 years of age or older. Holland America Line policies apply for additional guests.

Onboard Travel Details

Can I book shore excursions?

Yes. Approximately four weeks after your stateroom is confirmed, you will receive a Holland America booking number. You may use this number to log into your account on Holland America’s website or through the Holland America Navigator App to reserve shore excursions and onboard experiences.

Is internet service available?

Yes. Wi-Fi packages are available for purchase through Holland America Line. Package options may be viewed and purchased once you log into your booking.

What hotel is recommended before sailing?

Escape with Effy does not recommend a specific hotel. Because this sailing departs from Quebec City, guests are encouraged to arrive at least one day prior to embarkation to avoid travel disruptions.

Does Escape with Effy offer transportation to the pier?

Transportation services are available directly through Holland America Line. Guests should review transfer options through their Holland America booking portal.

What is the dress code?

Escape with Effy follows Holland America Line’s dress code policies.

• Daytime: Resort casual attire
• Evening: Smart casual
• Dressy nights: Jackets recommended for gentlemen; elegant attire for ladies

Details regarding Effy-themed evenings will be shared closer to sailing.

Can I change my traveling companion?

Yes. Companion changes must be submitted to reservations@escapewitheffy.com and cannot be accommodated within 30 days of sailing.

Pricing

What does the Escape with Effy Charter include?

Your sailing includes:

• All onboard Escape with Effy curated events and programming
• Standard Holland America Line amenities and services

It does not include airfare, ground transportation, hotel stays, onboard purchases, travel protection, taxes, or port fees.

Can I use Holland America Mariner Society benefits?

As this is a full ship charter, certain loyalty benefits may not apply. Please refer to Holland America Line for specific policy details regarding Mariner Society eligibility for charter sailings.

Online Check-In

All guests must complete Holland America’s online check-in prior to sailing. Approximately four weeks after booking, you will receive your Holland America booking number. Please complete your online check-in through hollandamerica.com or via the Navigator App at least 72 hours prior to departure.

Identification Requirements

For United States Citizens

A valid passport book is strongly recommended for international travel. Passport cards are not accepted for air travel and may not be valid for all ports visited.

For Non-United States Citizens

You must carry a valid passport and any required visas. Please consult your local consulate for requirements.

Accessibility

Guests with mobility needs or other special requirements should contact reservations@escapewitheffy.com at least 60 days prior to sailing.

Accessible staterooms are limited and should be requested early.

Are single travelers welcome?

Yes. Guests traveling alone are welcome. Standard double-occupancy pricing applies.
